I usually have a camera with me. I fluctuate between film and digital. Black & White and Color. I’m not sure what I’m trying to say with my photos. I think I just enjoy the process and the pride of making something beautiful. Sometimes I get there, more often I don’t. Either way, it would be a shame not to share them.

I share in sets, in reverse chronological order. Enjoy!

Atwater Village

I’m always walking around our neighborhood. It’s beautiful and the light is gorgeous. Lots of families, beautiful old cars and trees, and lots of pretty flowers. Trying to capture what it feels like to walk around the neighborhood and capturing a sense of time and place.

New York Weekend 2023

Had a wedding in New York City October 2023, but didn’t have time to make a big trip out of it. Took the opportunity of an evening departure to spend our last day walking around Central Park taking photos and enjoying the fall weather.

FP4+ on the Rolleicord V. Developed using XTOL stock (replenished).

Amsterdam Offsite 2023

The Darkroom team made its way to Amsterdam in September 2023 for an offsite. Work meetings, a few walks around the city, and a couple of excursions later, I came back home with a few rolls of film.

These were shot with my Mamiya Super 23 using a wide angle 65mm f/6.3 lens, and the Leica M6 using a 35mm f/1.4 lens.

Everything is shot on Delta 100 film, except for one roll shot on FP4+.

Flagstaff to LA

My 1991 Volkswagen Vanagon broke down just outside Sedona, AZ on a roadtrip in July 2023. Without getting into too many details, it ended up at Ken’s Import Service in Flagstaff, AZ, where Tino fixed it up and it sat for a month waiting for me to get back to the States to pick it up. Finally found the time to fly out and drive back over a couple of days. These are the photos I took on that trip.

Molitor

Not much of a story here. We got to spend a day at Molitor in Paris. It’s amazing. Obviously. You should read about the history of this place. Pretty interesting stuff. Can’t believe it’s just there in Paris itself…

Shot on iPhone 14 Pro, edited using Darkroom.

French Summer Trip 2023

Family trip to France in the summer of 2023. A week in Paris, then 3 weeks in the south of France. Lovely trip. Great time, reasonably good weather. All shot either on my Sony A1 with the 16-35mm GM lens, or on my iPhone 14 Pro.
